On March 20, the SAF and its extremist allies conducted airstrikes in Zurouq

The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and its associated militias linked to the former regime persist in executing reprisal attacks against innocent civilians. On March 20, the SAF and its extremist allies conducted airstrikes in Zurouq, Kabkabiya, and El Fasher, North Darfur, indiscriminately bombing areas and bringing grievous harm to ordinary civilians, including both woman and children.

We strongly condemn their deliberate targeting of civilians and urge the international community and humanitarian organizations to denounce these heinous acts and their employment of terror tactics, including barrel bombs, on innocent civilians. These consistent, targeted attacks violate international and humanitarian law, contravening the Geneva Convention and universal principles.

We assure residents of Darfur and communities all across Sudan that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) is committed to overcoming the criminal elements linked to the former regime that have caused such significant turmoil and destruction in our country over the past three decades. We are dedicated to upholding the desire of the people for freedom, peace, democracy, and justice.
